  • Removed thousands of tonnes of carbon from the atmosphere
  • Provided carbon-neutral shipping on more than ten million orders

Here's how it works: For every order we receive, a formula is used to calculate the estimated shipping emissions. Based on those estimates, a portion of our revenue goes to carbon removal companies that have been vetted by scientists from Carbon Direct. Those companies use that money to remove however much carbon our shipments created. Any extra funds go toward the further development of carbon removal technologies.

No.49 Handbags ReClaim & RePurpose: Circular Luxury Program aims to reduce waste, honor craftsmanship, and extend the life of every handbag and accessory through responsible reclamation, reuse, and reinvention.

No.49 ReClaim & RePurpose invites customers to return their end-of-life handbags and components so they can be refurbished, repurposed, or responsibly recycled. This initiative supports a circular economy and reinforces No. 49’s commitment to environmental stewardship and social responsibility. Let’s give your used or damaged handbags a second life!

1.      What We Accept

We accept a range of end-of-life vegan handbags, including full handbags, hardware, and materials.  At this time we are not accepting animal leather. Damaged or outdated bags are refurbished or dismantled for parts; zippers, buckles, and chains are cleaned and reused in new designs. Materials will be upcycled into new bags and wallets, while torn linings find new life in patchwork accessories. Every piece has potential—nothing goes to waste. We are also collecting corduroy, faux velvet, faux fur and denim jackets.

2.     Reintegration:
Salvaged components will be  used in:

  • Upcoming limited-edition “ReClaimed” collections
  • Donated materials for artisan workshops

3.      Customer Rewards: Participants receive:

  • Store credit
  • Early access to reclaimed collections
  • Emailed impact report showing how their return helped

  • Include any worn handbag
  • No need for original packaging.
  • Include your name and email with your shipment

2) Ship It to Us

  • Address: 2700 Angus Boulevard, Regina, SK S4T 2A7
  • Customer pays for shipping which is offset by your discount code.

3)Get Rewarded

  • Once received, we’ll email you a $25 discount code per bag/jacket valid on any future purchase.

4) We ReClaim

  • We’ll reuse and refurbish or recycle unusable components into new handbags, wallets and pouches!
